What is Rock?


ROCK 2010 is an exciting Christian weekend retreat in which youth in grades 6-12 from the Baltimore-Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church will gather at the Ocean City Convention Center. The purpose of the retreat is to "ROCK" the lives of our youth and help them into a new or deeper faith in, and personal relationship with the ROCK of our Salvation, Jesus Christ.




Theme: The Light Knight


Scripture: Romans 13:12 "The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light."


Special Guest Speaker: Stephen Gallaher


Stephen Gallaher is an ordained elder within the Central Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church and is appointed to ministry beyond the local church. Stephen serves as assistant professor of Christian Ministry/Youth Ministry at Messiah College and adjunct professor of Youth Ministry at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C, and Evangelical Seminary in Myerstown, PA. Stephen is an outdoor enthusiast who still helps run the family farm. He and his wife Anne live in Mechanicsburg, PA and are the parents of 3 adult children. Urban Street Level Artists have ministered with John P. Lee, Fred Hammond, Daryll Coley, News Boys, Bob Carlisle, Bruce Carroll, Tonex, Christafari, Cross Movement, Idol King and SFC.
